Your Song Got Radio Airplay. How to Promote It Next
Getting played is a moment worth sharing. The next move is to turn that moment into an easy way for someone new to hear your song, without making the credit sound bigger than it is.
Save the real details
Write down the station, show, song and air date. Save the public recap or artist-page link when one is available. Use the station's correct name. Do not turn one play into claims of heavy rotation, chart success or a large audience unless you have evidence for those claims.
Give listeners a clear destination
Share a short post about what the song means and where it aired. Link to a page that lets people hear it. A screenshot can celebrate the moment, but a working listening link helps someone take the next step. Check that the page loads well on a phone.
Thank the people behind the show
Send a brief thank-you to the host or team. Tag the station where appropriate and avoid asking for another favor in the same message. A real relationship grows through useful contact and respect for the outlet's time, not through repeated demands.
Add the credit to your press kit
Put the play in a short list of verified highlights. Keep it dated and link to the evidence where possible. For a future pitch, explain why the next song fits that outlet. Our show recaps are one place to revisit Independent Radio FM lineups.
YOUR NEXT MOVE
Write one accurate airplay credit and one post that sends people to a working song page.
