Copyright & DMCA Policy
Effective October 23, 2026
Independent Radio FM, LLC is the legal owner and operator of this site. “Independent Radio FM,” “IRFM,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Independent Radio FM, LLC.
Your music stays yours
Artists keep full ownership of their music. Members may only upload songs they own or control the necessary rights to, including the recording and composition and any samples, beats, artwork, and collaborator contributions.
Under our Terms of Service, members give Independent Radio FM permission to play, stream, pitch, and share listening and download links for their submitted songs. These permissions are limited to the authorized services and promotion. Accepting the terms cannot grant rights someone does not own.
We do not sell music or operate a commercial music distribution service. We do not host a catalog of commercial music from labels or unrelated artists. We host artist-authorized member submissions for our broadcasts, artist pages, and radio pitching, including evaluation downloads for selected stations. A member signed to a label must have the label's permission where required.
Report copyright infringement
If you own a copyright or are authorized to act for its owner and believe content on our site infringes it, send a written DMCA notice to the copyright contact below. Include:
- Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if your notice covers multiple works.
- The exact URL on our site and enough detail for us to locate the song or other material you want removed.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Our designated agent is registered with the US Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory (Registration No. DMCA-1083929).
How we respond
When we receive a complete, valid notice, we promptly remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the member who submitted it. We may ask for missing information, stop pending pitches, and review the member's rights documentation. We do not decide final copyright ownership disputes.
Counter-notices
If your material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice to the same copyright contact. Include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number; a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the district where your address is located, or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Independent Radio FM may be found; and a statement that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.
We forward a valid counter-notice to the complainant, including your contact details. Unless we receive notice that the complainant has filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore access no earlier than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice, as applicable law requires. Content may remain unavailable for a separate violation of our terms.
Notices and counter-notices have legal consequences. Knowingly making material misrepresentations may result in liability. Seek legal advice if you are unsure.
Repeat infringers
Accounts with repeat valid copyright infringement notices are terminated. We review notice validity, counter-notices, and evidence of mistake or withdrawn claims before treating a member as a repeat infringer. We may also remove content or terminate accounts for serious infringement or other violations of our Terms of Service.
