This is for you if
- You're an independent artist who wants radio play without paying a plugger
- You have a finished song and a clean radio edit (or can make one)
- You'll follow each station's rules instead of mass emailing
Not for you if
- You want a guarantee that these stations will play you (nobody can promise that)
- You only have explicit versions and won't make a clean edit
- You're a label looking for a paid promo service
How to use this list
- 1
Pick 5 stations in your genre
Start small. Five good fits beat fifty random ones.
- 2
Follow their rules exactly
If a station asks for one song, send one song. Use their form, not your own email.
- 3
Submit a clean radio edit
Most stations can't air explicit lyrics, so a clean edit keeps you in the running.
Common mistakes that get songs skipped
Sending explicit lyrics
Stations can face fines for airing profanity. Send the clean version.
Wrong file format
Some stations want MP3, some want WAV. Check their notes before you upload.
No EPK or bio
A short bio, a photo and a link to your music help a DJ say yes faster.
Mass emailing every station
One generic email to a big list reads like spam. Submit one station at a time, their way.
Resending the same song too soon
Give a station at least 30 days before you follow up with the same track.
FAQ
- Is it really free?
- Yes. No credit card, no trial. You get the list by email and can unsubscribe anytime.
- How often is it updated?
- When a station closes submissions or asks to come off the list, we remove it. The count at the top of this page is live.
- Do these stations guarantee play?
- No. Every station decides for itself what it plays. This list gets your song in front of them the right way; airplay is up to them.
- Why is my genre missing a station I know?
- We only list stations that take direct submissions from independent artists on their own site.
